PIXEL PARTY

Date: Saturday June 6th
Time: 1PM - 4PM

Build a wooden model of an iconic Nintendo character! Each participant will be given a set of painted wooden blocks that correspond with their chosen character. You will then be guided step by step on how to glue the blocks together to make a wooden model of a character from the 8-bit era of gaming. All materials will be provided and no experience is necessary. Final sculptures will vary in size. The tallest is Samus (13 inches) and the shortest are Mario & Link (each 6.7 inches). If you do not finish your sculpture during the event, you are welcome to take everything you need to finish it at home.

Born in a COVID bubble in Cambridgeport, we crawled as far as Central Square to play the outdoor patio at the Phoenix Landing in 2021, mutating into the Mass Avenaires. We play a mix of traditional and older standards – from Warren Zevon to Bob Zimmerman – plus a few originals.

Join us this Earth Day - April 22nd - for a community cleanup of Windsor Street from 4–5:30 PM! We’ll be removing trash and debris that not only makes the area unsightly, but also blocks storm drains and contributes to ongoing dumping. We’ll provide gloves, buckets, and garbage grabbers—just bring yourself and a willingness to help make a difference.
